Happy Anniversary

I can't believe its already been a year since I was sealed to my best friend. He's the best thing thats ever happened to me. Since our anniversary is today and I didnt work, yesterday he had roses, a stuffed toad and some chocolate toads sent to my work, with a balloon that said "Toadally in love with you" It was such a sweet surprise! Everyone was so jealous! So I figure sweet, I get my gift early! When I got home, I ran to get his gift, then came home and went to bed. As I laid on my pillow i heard a bag crinkle. I reach into my pillowcase and pull out a 2 pound bag of sour patch kids :) Then this morning I got up to use the bathroom and when I got back to bed, there was a diamond heart necklace. I know. I have the best hubby ever. I got him a pez dispensor, some computer headphones/microphones, and a HuGE pack of batteries :) He was pretty stoked. Now were off to go see hanna, go to outback for dinner, then head to castlecreek inn. Thanks JAKEY for watching our house and puppy while were gone!

Count Your Many Blessings ♥

Here I am, being a slacker again! Thanks for pointing it out, Jane! ha-ha. I just started school last Monday, and its actually REALLY REALLY fun! I am going to classes with my sister in law, Janessa. And it is SOOO nice to have her there with me as support. I met with my academic adviser, and as soon as im done with generals (Approx 1.5 years) I can apply for SLCC nursing program. I'll be there 2 years to get my associates, while im there, i will be applying for a bachelors and masters program at the U. Its about a 2 year wait, which means I'll have to put starting a family on hold. Its going to be VERY hard, but as Nick said "You can stop at your CNA, but that's not proving anything to anybody else, but most importantly you're not proving to yourself that you CAN do this" Gosh im so blessed. He told me that Jenny talked him the other day and told him she knew i could do this, and that she was there to support me. She tells me that all the time and it means alot, but somehow hearing it from Nick, meant even more to me. When I was talking to Nick about nursing school, we BOTH definitely had doubts, not Can you do it? but WILL you do it? Yes. Its going to be hard. Yes. Its going to be expensive. Yes. its going to be stressful. Yes im going to have to quit my job once I get into the nursing program. No. Im never going to give up. I have the best support system in the world. I think my family is still very skeptical about it, and I dont blame them. I have a HORRIBLE record when it comes to school and grades. But i've grown up ALOT since highschool. And I know this is what I need to do to help support my family. Once I have my rn or my NP i will be able to work 3 12 hour shifts a week, on days nick is off, or nights or when my mom can help with the baby. That way, when we decide to start our family, we wont have to worry about daycare :). Everything will fall into place. I have faith that this is what I need to do and where I need to be. Thanks for everyones support!
